The choice is yours

Play-based preschool Pre-K programs and transitional kindergarten (TK) programs both provide unique experiences for young learners, allowing them to explore the world around them in their own way. While they are both early learning environments, there are significant differences between these two approaches that parents should consider when deciding which is right for their child.

Learning Through Play

At LGPNS, children learn through discovery and creative play. They develop in an atmosphere of encouragement and support where free choice of activities is emphasized and curriculum fosters social and emotional confidence.

Parent Testimonials

  • "The best parenting decision we have made is enrolling our children in the Los Gatos Parent Nursery School. Our children thrived in the loving, creative environment and made life-long friends there. As new parents who participated in the classroom and interacted with the students each week, we learned first-hand about child development, different learning styles, and effective parenting techniques. LGPNS remains a meaningful early investment in our children’s lives and in our community."

—Anne & Michael. Class of 2001

  • “LGPNS was one of the best decisions I ever made - not only for my children but for me as well. The play-based curriculum was perfect for my kids. They went off to Kindergarten well prepared socially, emotionally and academically. Not only do they learn how to get along with others their age, they learned how to interact with adults. In addition - my best friends to this day are parents from LGPNS.”

  • “One of my favorite things about our time at LGPNS was experiencing so many special moments alongside my children. As a working parent in the classroom, I got to watch them make their first friends, see the wonder in their eyes as they discovered new things, and share with them in the laughter and joy of learning through play. These memories are priceless, and I’m grateful to have had such an active part in their early education. In addition to the time spent with my children, I am incredibly thankful for the community I found at LGPNS. I connected with like-minded parents and formed lifelong friendships that I still connect with today. Thank you LGPNS for each moment and every memory, I wouldn’t have changed a thing.”
