Covid-19 Protocols
LGPNS is currently holding in-person classes while following Covid-19 safety protocols. Children, working classroom parents and Teachers are encouraged to wear masks while attending class both indoors and outdoors.
The health and safety of our community is always a top priority. We meet and exceed the Covid-19 safety protocols required by the Santa Clara County Public Health Department and the Santa Clara County Office of Education. Our Health & Safety Board Chair works diligently to keep our school community up-to-date with the latest information and recommendations.
Education: We currently hold in-person classes in limited sizes. Outdoor time is plentiful and includes guided activities, exploration, and free play.
Ventilation: When indoors, the windows and back doors are open for increased ventilation. We also run a HEPA air purifier.
Mask Wearing: Masks are currently “strongly recommended” for those 2 years and above both indoors and outdoors.
Vaccination: Currently all staff (teachers and working parents) are required to be Fully Vaccinated for Covid-19 (defined by the CDC as having completed the primary series). It is highly recommended that children be vaccinated and that both adults and children stay up-to-date with vaccine boosters.
Cleaning: We’ve enhanced our cleaning and sanitizing procedures both during and between classes. Children are encouraged to wash hands and use hand sanitizer frequently.
Snack: Because of the necessity to remove masks while eating, snack time has been moved outdoors with distance between tables.
